M.P.T equips itself with new anti-seismic shelves

M.P.T Srl has adopted a major innovation within the company, in order to guarantee our customers a safely stored finished product. These concern special anti-seismic shelving units now available in the M.P.T. warehouses.

Seismic-resistant shelving is essential to avoid damage to products in stock and damage to the load-bearing structures of industrial shelving. These are usually generated by seismic shocks with wave-like motion (horizontal forces). The shelves are designed to withstand shocks with vertical movements.

There are numerous risks associated with the absence of this type of anti-seismic shelving. Firstly, the main risk is that the stored product or semi-finished product can slip, tip over and fall off the shelf, suffering irreversible damage and breakage.

Secondly, there is a possibility that production may come to a standstill as a result of these breakages. In addition, a risk is also run by the people who work within the company, who are present next to the shelving.
